Real time wireless cell-phone and credit card enabled vending solution

cStar Technologies Inc. announces its complete range of wireless vending solutions extending to new M-Commerce and other M2M applications in CA World 2002 currently taking place in Florida between April 2 to the 25.

The company is demonstrating its latest real-time cell-phone and credit card enabled vending solution. cStar's pyramid of technology started with wireless management data capture and now is completing the end-to-end methodology for unattended point-of-sale transactions.

Consumers will overcome the correct change and ready cash syndrome in making any purchase at currently existing vending machines. The system is swift and extremely easy to use giving consumers the full range of purchase methods. This technology can be applied to other unattended points-of-sale such as parking meters and highway tollbooths and in the future to airline and theatre ticketing, taxi fare monitoring and eventually all points-of-sale.

"cStar's patented proprietary technologies pave the way to different M2M applications serving numerous business segments and physical environments," says Stella Yoon, President and CEO of the Toronto-based company.

The company will also demonstrate its solution for the utility industry at CA World. Utility meters (gas, water and hydro), fitted with cStar's Wireless Local Area Network SkyGate® series III, provide remote 'drive by' data retrieval systems to the service vehicle fitted with SkyGate Multiplexer, which incorporates both Wireless LAN and Wireless WAN. The Multiplexer further communicates into Computer Associates' Unicentera automating the accounting, billing and service functions on-line and in real-time. Further enhancing the solution, a customer can request adding a GPS uplink for tracking purposes.

cStar's diverse uplinking is essentially a unique marriage between Radio and the Internet. This outgrowth into other business sectors is clearly a natural next step when integrated with enterprise platforms such as Unicenter NSM 3.0.

Yoon further adds "cStar addresses its customers' needs by providing a combination of industrial real-tiny monitoring solutions, particularly incorporation with the fertile ground of PDA's.
